.1 Cairngorm Adventure Guides will always provide suitably qualified and experienced staff to run their courses who have been trained and assessed to high levels as determined by the National Governing Bodies in Mountaineering and other outdoor pursuits. CAG’s manage risk effectively, but participants must be aware that participation in mountaineering and outdoor activities involves an acceptance of objective risk and responsibility of ones own actions. Please also refer to the British Mountaineering Councils participation statement.
.2 Participants have the right to veto on any course if they don’t feel comfortable with the level of risk, however we would always insist you follow all safety instruction given by your CAG. Any client that acts against the advice of the guide, instructor or leader will absolve them-selves of any duty of care or professional indemnity from the guide running the course. CAG’s are friendly and approachable and we would encourage participants to discuss any anxieties they may have about the course with their guide.
.1 For participants to get the most out of their course they are reminded that participation in outdoor sports requires a reasonable level of fitness. For mountaineering pursuits you will normally carry your own rucksack with equipment, be walking up and down hill sides and be in the mountains for most of the day.
.1 We are insured and hold Public and Employers Liability Insurance for all activities and courses we offer. Many of those delivering our courses are sub contractors who also hold and operate under their own public liability insurance cover.
.1 During the covid 19 pandemic we will ask course participants to provide their own transport as much as possible. Where this is not possible we will endeavour to provide transport, on a complimentary basis. There is no charge for transport and no part of the course fee is towards transport.
